Native Camera Controlling and Tracking on different systems
Apple Phone:
When using Flow Pro or Flow 2 Pro, after NFC connection, you can directly control and track through the native camera or third-party iOS apps. (Tracking is based on Apple DockKit functionality, which is not supported by Flow 2 and Flow).
Android Phone:
Tracking in the native camera is not supported, but partial control of the native camera is available.
Both Apple & Android Support: Connect to the gimbal via Bluetooth and use the Live Mode feature in the Insta360 App shooting interface. This enables live tracking in third-party apps (e.g., live streaming or video calling software) to keep subjects centered in the frame.
Additionally, for the Flow 2 Pro & Flow 2 we have launched an AI Tracker that breaks through smartphone model & app limitations, enabling Android phones to achieve native camera tracking functionality. Click here to see more details.
AI Tracker VS Apple DockKit Native Tracking
Apple DockKit is a tracking technology developed by Apple, it enables iPhones to seamlessly track subjects during shooting, keeping them in frame and centered.
Phone Requirements: iPhone 12 or later models, iOS 17 or higher.
Gimbal Requirements: Flow Pro, Flow 2 Pro.
Note: Apple DockKit supports only a limited number of third-party apps. Click here and scroll down to view the list.
AI Tracker:
1. Break free from app or phone limitations.
2. Features a built-in spotlight, with three adjustable brightness levels and three color temperature settings.
3. Supports Gesture Control. Simply raise your hand to start or stop AI tracking.
How to use AI Tracker
AI Tracker primarily breaks through smartphone model & App limitations. Track video calls, livestreams, and online meetings with more models supported.
How to enable tracking:
1. Gesture Control:
🖐️ - Start/stop tracking
✌️ - Start/stop photo/video capture
*Gesture control for tracking cannot be disabled.

Notes:
- The AI Tracker is not waterproof. Avoid using it in wet conditions such as rain, swimming, or other water-exposed scenarios.
- Tracking is only supported for humans, cats, and dogs. Other objects or animals are not compatible.
- Used AI Traker in Insta360 App shooting interface, the tracking function is unavailable, the module serves only as a spotlight.
- Exclusively compatible with Flow 2 Pro & Flow 2. Not compatible with Flow or Flow Pro.
How to track in third-party apps without AI Tracker?
