Q&A
- What is the transmission distance between the Action Pod and the camera?
GO 3, GO 3S: Within 5 meters in an open environment without interference.
GO Ultra: Within 30 meters in an open environment without interference.
- Can I use the Action Pod to control shooting when the camera is underwater?
The Bluetooth signal is weak underwater, and the camera may not be able to connect to the Action Pod.
- Why is the image transmission clarity of the Action Pod low/laggy?
When the camera is shooting outside the Action Pod, the clarity will be compressed to a certain extent, but it does not affect the final image quality. If you want a clearer preview image, we recommend placing the camera inside the Action Pod.
At the same time, due to the limited decoding performance of the Action Pod itself, as well as the influence of the usage environment (such as wireless signal strength) and the camera's stabilization settings, there may be a certain delay in the preview image.
- What is the image transmission speed when the camera is remotely connected to the Action Pod?
GO 3, GO 3S: The image transmission speed is not a fixed value. It fluctuates between 0.5 and 1.2 Mbps depending on the environment.
GO Ultra: The image transmission speed is not a fixed value. It fluctuates between 6 and 7 Mbps depending on the environment.
- When the camera is remotely connected to the Action Pod, can I view the album files?
GO 3, GO 3S: Not supported
GO Ultra: Supported
- What is the cross-use logic between the GO 3/GO 3S camera and the Action Pod?
After any camera is powered on, place it in the Powered On Action Pod, and the Action Pod will switch to connect to the camera inside the pod.
For example
- The Action Pod is remotely connected to the GO 3 camera. At this time, if you place the GO 3S camera in the pod while it is powered on, the Action Pod will switch to connect to the GO 3S camera, and its Power Button will also default to waking up only the GO 3S camera.
- The Action Pod will not switch back to connect to the GO 3 camera until the GO 3 camera is powered on and placed in the pod.
Note:
- If you do not need to use two cameras at the same time, it is recommended to turn off one of them to save power.
- The Action Pod's UI display depends on whether it is paired with a GO 3 or a GO 3S camera.
7. How can I turn off only the Action Pod while the camera is recording or not recording?
While recording:If the camera is remotely connected to the Action Pod, press and hold the Action Pod's power button. The screen will display two options: "Turn off Action Pod only" / "Turn off Camera + Action Pod". Select "Turn off Action Pod only" as needed.
When not recording:If both the camera and the Action Pod are powered off, remove the camera from the Action Pod, then press and hold the camera's button for 3 seconds to power it on. This will achieve the same effect as above.
Note: When not recording, if the camera is not in place and you directly turn off the Action Pod, the camera will also be turned off at the same time.
